Praise the Lord

Thank you for your prayers for Monica. She is cancer free!!! God is so good, and prayer works. Please say one more prayer of praise to the Father for healing her.

Prayer Request

Please pray for our friend Monica Moore. She has been in the hospital for a couple of days waiting for some test results. Please claim a defeat in Christ over a more serious outcome. We will know on Tuesday what is exactly going on, and I will let you all know. Thanks for joining us in prayer.

Girls Weekend

I had the best weekend with my Mom, Sister, Reese, Nathan, Nanny, and Aunt Laura. I am so lucky to be so close to my family. We went shopping, out to eat, to Aunt Laura's to "watch" a movie. However, we mostly watched Nathan and listened to Reese. "He's soooo cute!!!" as Reese said all weekend. =) Family is so fun and such a blessing, you can just relax and be yourself no worries. What are great weekend. I had to share these pictures of Nathan and his Momma! We ended the weekend with lunch at Chen's in Canton with Uncle Matthew and PawPaw.

"De-Fense JoJo"

We just got home from a long couple of weeks of basketball. Why does a regional quarterfinal and state semi-final loss seem like a bad season? How many schools go to the regional tournament with both boys and girls 4 consecutive years, and state appearances by both teams 6 times in 4 years? Anyway, I wish we could all just have fun and enjoy the ride like the little ones do. At the end of the day, it is just a game. I am so proud of the kids and coaches, especially the one I get the honor to call my husband. I really just wanted to share these cute pictures of Reese, man does he love the "baketball" games. My sister Katie coaches too, and Reese loves cheering on his "GiGi" as well at the games...too bad she doesn't still play defense, Reese would be an even bigger fan! =)

And a child shall lead them...

I hate driving in places I do not know with tons of traffic and roads going every which way. I was coming back from a game in the Ft. Worth area tonight and following the words of my husband, left before the bus. Of course, I took a wrong split/exit...something. I immediately started praying and God took care of me...found a sign to 30 E and I was saved. I was a little panicked for a moment, it was just me and Reese at 9:15 pm. I was so stressed and God just comforted and calmed me instantly, the second I asked for Him to be with me. Reese even joined in the prayers, he knew something was wrong with me, so I told him we would talk to Jesus....just melted my heart to hear him talk to Jesus and tell Mommy it was going to be okay. =) WOW....children are so precious, they just have it all figured out sometimes. Anyway, I am home now and ready to go to bed...just wanted to document the sweet moment with Reese.

Life Lessons

So today I was teaching...my sophomores...and we were talking about life experiences. We were working on writing about life experiences for TAKS and how you have to include a lesson you have learned from the experience. I told them it would be something that you would want to tell your children one day....so they would learn the lesson without having to do it the hard way. Anyway, this got me to thinking....how often do I go through a life experience and not sit back and figure out what I have learned so I don't have to go through the hard stuff again. Do you think God continues to teach us the same lessons in life until we get it? Should we share those lessons...all of them...with our children when the time comes? What do you think?

50 Years

Meme and Paw have been married for 50 years! What a great example they have set for us. Paw still kisses Meme when he comes into the kitchen and she is cooking. They are so cute. It is so comforting to know that they still love each other. =)
