Fresh Start

After a week of inservice, we are ready to start school on Monday. I am excited to have a new group of kids, and really excited about starting the AVID program - I have high hopes of the program doing wonders for the students. I feel such a strong desire to reach those "at risk" kids...I am praying for opportunties this year for me to grow spiritually, emotionally, and professionally through these students. As our Super said today our goal is to be
1. Leaner
2. Greener
3. Cleaner

Almost ready to go back on Monday :)

HIS WILL - not mine

Summer is coming to an end and it seems it only just started. I am looking forward to a new schedule and a fresh start with semi-new kids...at least kids I didn't have last year.

I am getting really nervous about Reese starting Pre-K - he just doesn't seem to be old enough, I am so sad to be loosing my baby. As you all know I want another so bad but my body just doesn't work with me, it seems every time I go to the doctor we add another disease to the list of things already wrong with me - please keep praying for God to give me a baby, or if I am only to have one outstanding child that my desire for another will go away and my desire will begin to match His Will for me and my family. I do trust my Father and know His Will is perfect, but I need strength and more faith, so pray for that too.

I attended a great conference last week called AVID - Advancement Via Individualized Determination - it was awesome! I learned so many great things for my classroom and I am so excited to try them out. I became very passionate about the program and feel led, along with other team members, to develop the program for the small school (it is only used in big schools, this will be the first year a small school starts AVID) and I am hoping to see myself with AVID in the future.

I know God has great plans for my family I just have to keep trusting and believing that if I follow His Path and His Will I will see what is ahead of us.

Summer Time

Summer has been going great so far. =) Spending time with Reese has been wonderful. He is so much fun and getting so big. So sad to send him to pre-k next year =( We went to Beaver's Bend for our annual trip and had a blast!! We are leaving for Gulf Shores in a week, and can't wait to be on the beach. We have also started a college Sunday school class at church, we are having fun and have some great students! We are pretty much keeping busy and enjoying summer life. That is about all I can update right now. I have several pictures to post, but for some reason the blogger is not letting me insert them. Hopefully the problem will be fixed before too long. I have some great "first" pictures of Reese to share. However, I am able to load some videos of Reese and swim lessons. Enjoy =)

... I Survived

School is official out for summer =) Well, I am teaching summer school, but I have a week off. I never thought I would make it through this year, but it is over. Still praying for God to show me the "special" that I missed this year, it seems like the worst year I have ever had. I need His eyes to show me. I trust that one day I will see. For now, I am excited about summer with Reese and the family.

Realization at the Zoo

Sign of my Father's love for me!

We took Reese and Nathan to the zoo a couple of weekends ago. We had the best time. Reese loved ALL the animals. He really like the snakes, which was surprising because he was scared to see them the night before. He is so outgoing and was just talking to every kid that would come up and look at whatever animal he was looking at and find out if they liked them and were having fun. He just has just a gentle spirit and really cares about others. I am so blessed that God shared him with me. I want another baby so badly, that sometimes I forget the beauty of the one I was given. He is just amazing! I just keep praying that I can have another, and if not that God will change my desires to match His, pray for me too, please.

Ready to go and see the animals!

I just love Nathan so much he has really been a blessing to
me the past few months. =)
